Golf Cart Training

Borrowing:

UBC employees who wish to borrow a golf cart from Facilities Management should please create an Archibus work request outlining their intended use, and the dates and times that they wish to have access. Please attach proof that you have completed training (see below) or email it to facilities.ok@ubc.ca.

Training:

Before operating a golf cart, UBC employees must first complete the online Golf Cart Safety course. Following the successful completion of this course, they should then create an Archibus work request to schedule in-person training at least one week in advance of their preferred training date. This step can also be performed by your departmental golf cart trainer (if one exists).

UBC employees who have already completed the initial training are required to complete the Golf Cart Safety Refresher course annually.

Notes:

Facilities Management cannot guarantee that golf carts will available to borrow during peak periods. We recommend contacting the Conferences and Accommodation department or the Student Housing and Community Services department to inquire if their carts are available.

In accordance with the Golf Cart Safety Policy and Procedures Section 5.1 Facilities Management is responsible for maintaining oversight of the golf cart safety training program. All golf cart trainers will have attended an orientation session with Facilities Management prior to conducting training for their employees. All registration and licensing for all UBCO owned golf carts in initiated through Facilities Management.
