Fire Suppression Equipment
Fire detection and suppression equipment is provided in all public areas on campus. Minor maintenance and servicing of equipment is performed by Facilities Management. Records are kept of all installations, servicing and inspections. Contracts with external firms are maintained for servicing fire extinguishers, fire hose cabinets, standpipes, and sprinkler systems.
Please contact Facilities Management at firstname.lastname@example.org if additional equipment is required or a change in suppression equipment in a laboratory or research area is desired. The purchase of fire suppression equipment in addition to that required for general building safety compliance is the responsibility of the requesting department.
